Medstar Collecting Winter Gear for Detroit’s Homeless

Pie a Paramedic Donation Drive for the Pope Francis CenterWith temperatures reaching the single digits, the Pope Francis Center is even more critical to the safety and survival of Detroit’s homeless. And they are in dire need of the following donations:

  • Thermal/outdoor socks
  • Hats
  • Gloves
  • Thermal pants and shirts

The winter gear items must be new and are needed in all sizes for adult men and women. Socks are the number-one need.

And here’s the fun part. Donations earn you tickets, and at the end of the competition, a ticket will be drawn to pie one of our Paramedics.

  • 4 small items (pair of socks, hats, or gloves) = 1 ticket
  • 1 large item (thermal pants or shirt) = 5 tickets

You can drop off donations Monday – Friday from 9 am – 5 pm at our Central Operations site, which is located at 380 N. Gratiot Ave., Clinton Township, MI 48036.

Please put your name, email, and phone number on the items (sticky note or tape). We will collect donations through February 28, 2021.
