MEDSTAR HONORS FRONTLINE WORKERS DURING EMS WEEK 2022
MEDSTAR PAYS TRIBUTE TO ITS 900 TEAM MEMBERS WHO DEDICATE THEMSELVES TO SERVING OTHERS
Medstar, Michigan’s largest EMS and mobile health provider, honor the dedication of those who provide day-to-day care and service on the frontlines of clinical care, especially our own. In 1974, President Gerald Ford authorized EMS Week to celebrate EMS practitioners and the vital work they do in our communities.
This week, we thank our nearly 900 team members who provide compassionate care and service every day. In addition to the EMTs and Paramedics who provide service to patients, we recognize our communications, education, billing, fleet, deployment, and leadership personnel for the incredible work they do every day.
“Choosing the EMS field requires a commitment to helping people, often in challenging situations. Our team members are some of the most caring people I have ever encountered. Even with the challenges and unique situations brought by the pandemic, our team has risen to the challenge, maintained the highest level of clinical care available, and introduced new clinical services for the patients, communities, and facilities we serve, said Kolby Miller, Medstar CEO. “We are proud of the resilience of our EMTs and paramedics and the critical services provided by our behind-the-scenes personnel in the communications, deployment, billing, education, and fleet departments. We also recognize and salute the important contributions of EMS providers from agencies and departments throughout our state and nation.”
Medstar’s EMS Week Celebration includes a barbeque lunch, breakfast, hundreds of gas and gift cards, and personally autographed Detroit Tiger jerseys, bats, and balls.
