THE NEW FACILITY WILL PROVIDE EXPANDED EMT AND PARAMEDIC PROGRAMS, CLINICAL TRAINING, AND HIGH-TECH SIMULATION.

Medstar, Michigan’s largest EMS and mobile healthcare provider, opened its expanded Clinical Education and Simulation Center in Clinton Township on Wednesday. The new location is at 22500 Metro Pkwy. (located in the Mclaren building).

The state-of-the-art 4,000-square-foot facility will host EMT and paramedic training, public CPR and AED training, physician resident classes, and various EMS certification courses. The area has three primary classrooms that will hold up to 30 students each. The education center also has a practical room with five fully-equipped stations and a fully integrated, high-fidelity adult and pediatric simulation center with full broadcast and production capacity.

“As the demand for our care and service continues to rise, our investment in training our personnel in the most current clinical techniques, in addition to welcoming new team members with the highest quality education available, is paramount to our success. This comprehensive facility will provide for the expansion of our education capabilities, as well as care, service, and clinical offerings that we provide to the patients, communities, and facilities we serve,” said Kolby Miller, Medstar CEO.

“As Medstar continues to grow and advance throughout lower Michigan, the extra clinical space for students, continuing education, and technological advances were necessary,” said Bob Cannon, Clinton Township Supervisor and the longest-serving member of the Medstar Board of Directors. “There is no other agency with the investment and attention to training that Medstar continues to make. It has been incredible to watch this organization’s growth and know firsthand the quality they provide in our communities.”
