Medstar Welcomes Dr. Kevin Grady to Its Board of Directors
Medstar, Southern Michigan’s largest EMS and mobile healthcare provider, is pleased to announce the President and CEO of Ascension St. John Hospital and Ascension River District Hospital Kevin Grady, MD, is the newest member of its Board of Directors.
“Dr. Grady is a champion for patient-centered care, and it’s an honor to have him on our board,” said Kolby Miller, Medstar CEO. “His more than 30 years of experience as a critical care physician is invaluable, especially as we continue to expand our 911 services throughout Michigan, and develop programs to improve the health of patients throughout the region.”
“As healthcare systems recognize the importance of pre-hospital emergency care, as well as the value of community paramedicine, I am excited to join in the direction of the region’s most responsive and innovative organization,” said Dr. Grady. “The opportunity for EMS and mobile healthcare organizations to bring about large-scale improvements in emergency care, as well as the development of integrated, interdisciplinary approaches to population health management is significant, and Medstar is leading the way throughout our growing service area.”
In addition to his service with Ascension SE Michigan, Dr. Grady is a senior member and partner with Pulmonary & Critical Care Associates, an associate clinical professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine, and has served in various medical staff leadership roles, including Acensions’s Chief Medical Officer of the SE Michigan region.
Dr. Grady attended his first Medstar Board of Directors meeting on June 11.
