Medstar, Southern Michigan’s largest EMS and mobile healthcare provider, is pleased to announce Charles Anderson, the President/CEO of the Urban League of Detroit and Southeastern Michigan, is the newest member of its Board of Directors.

“I am excited to welcome Charles to our Board of Directors,” said Kolby Miller, Medstar CEO. “I look forward to working with him, as well as the other community leaders, physicians, and nurses on our board, as we work together to change the way EMS and mobile healthcare are delivered throughout Southern Michigan.”

“Medstar is an outstanding mobile healthcare provider and leader in its industry,” said Anderson. “I’m very honored to join the board and help continue the company’s goal of being the region’s leader in clinical quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.” 

As President/CEO of the Urban League of Detroit and Southeastern Michigan, Anderson is responsible for the vision, leadership, and direction of one of the area’s premier human services and civil rights organizations. Anderson has also served as Executive Director of the Detroit Department of Human Services, a Director with the NAACP, as well as on dozens of boards, committees, and task forces.  

Anderson will attend his first Medstar Board of Directors meeting Thursday, March 12.
